Onsite Dental Care Foundation-California
Bu Currently, through our Partner-Affiliate Program the Onsite Dental teams offer oral health care to a variety of underprivileged community members within Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties on a weekly basis. We currently service very diverse populations. Some suggestions of populations that can benefit from Onsite Dental are: The elderly, children (2years plus), homeless, HIV/AIDS cliental, soldiers, underserved community members, non-nationals, pregnant woman, mentally disabled, migrant farm workers, and prisoners.
Recent & Current Community Alliance Programs
Arbor Clinic: Arbor Clinic is a free medical clinic started and run by Stanford Medical Students. They offer medical services weekly in Menlo Park and have coordinated efforts in the past with the Ravenswood Family Center , formerly South County Community Center, in E. Palo Alto. In the summer of 2002, Arbor Clinic held community health fairs in E. Palo Alto and asked Onsite Dental to provide dental education, examinations, x-rays, cleanings, and sealants for underserved children of E. WELCOME TO ARBOR FREE CLINIC
Burnett Academy (San Jose) & Costaño School (East Palo Alto ): Licensed dental professionals provided dental services such as exams, oral cancer screenings and oral wellness training to a group of under privileges students. The program was hosted twice a year and was underwritten by Cisco Systems. Onsite Dental and our affiliated dental professionals provided this care to the Burnet Academy in South San Jose and Costaño School in East Palo Alto.(Check to see what the current programs might be-soulight)
Clara-Mateo Alliance : CMA is a unique collaboration between the public and private sectors in the Silicon Valley area. Local entities work together to provide safe shelter and services to homeless individuals, couples and families from San Mateo and Santa Clara counties and the surrounding communities.

Ravenswood Family Health Center: Ravenswood, formerly South County Community Health Center , provides access to a comprehensive program of primary health services for all ages, especially those who are uninsured or medically underserved residents of East Palo Alto, Belle Haven, and North Fair Oaks. Eligibility workers assist with Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, or Medi-Cal enrollment.

The County of Santa Clara Public Health Dept – HIV/AIDS Program
The County of Santa Clara’s Health Dept., in conjunction with Health Connections serves anyone living with HIV/AIDS in Santa Clara County by assuring access to all services needed to promote health, dignity and quality of life, thereby preventing the spread of HIV.
Onsite Dental provides general dentistry through the Ryan White Health Connections HIV/AIDS program through regularly scheduled visits. The Onsite Dental’s affiliated dentists and their teams are trained and aware of special issues that concern patients living with HIV or AIDS. Through Onsite Dental there are no co-pays or limitations to regular dental treatments for Ryan White Dental Clients. The St. Leo Dental Clinic was initiated in 1996 to give full dental care to children of working poor families who have no insurance and a special group of recently released prisoners who want to change their lives to become good citizens. The dental facility is located at St. Leo Church, Solana Beach, San Diego County, California. The areas served are the enclaves of the Beach Communities of North San Diego County (Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff, Encinitas, Leucadia, Carlsbad and Oceanside). The children are given oral health education and complete dental treatment. Complete dental treatment for children includes: examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fluoridation, fillings, extractions, as well as referrals to specialists as needed. The men and women from the Welcome Home Ministry, who are recently released prisoners, are given full restorative treatment, giving them a healthy and attractive appearance to enter society and employment. |
